No One Else

I don’t want people to think I like doing self-portraits, but when you’re stuck in the house with a busted hand and ribs that are not quite healed yet, you don’t have much choice. Propped up a mirror in my room and took a cue from Frida Kahlo’s body of work. I need to set things up to make this a little more comfortable.

Maybe if I keep doing these, I’ll…well, I’ll probably hate drawing self-portraits.

*Just so you know, my eyeglasses were the starting point for all of these; I’m not sure why.

Better Start Off July Right

I’d better post a drawing soon. For now, I’ll say that an artist mentioned these brush pens on a blog , and I’m glad we finally have something like this in art stores. I was getting tired of buying disposable brush pens that never really retained their tip for very long. The PITT Pens were fine, but the brush tips weren’t very sturdy. Hopefully these Pentels are as good as the one I bought a few years ago in a Japanese department store.
