Not ready yet

So I’m still working on some new stuff to add to the gallery. I’d like to have 15 finished pieces plus 20-30 sketches and around five comic book pages.

What do I do to get it done?

It really does help hanging out with people who draw and paint because of the critique/input and ideas that get bounced back and forth. I regret not getting to know more people in the illustration department over at CCAC. It would have been good to keep in touch and see how everyone’s doing in the world of illustration. Where’s Nick Clausen? He was one of the good ones. I vaguely remember an end-of-the-year party, we drank beer with others in the department and…how did I get home? Who was there and whose house in SF? There was another party with ping pong balls and plastic cups? Wait. I think that was thrown by a bunch of photo majors.  It’s tough getting old.  Memory’s bad…stomach is even softer (a nephew will just come out and tell you).

It also helps to have a 24 hour cafe to go to. Of course, I wish there were more in the Bay Area because, well, I only know of one. Where are all the 24 hour spots in the San Francisco area that don’t mind a couple of friends drawing all night (actually, it’s only until about 1:30am because of the age thing again)? Why am I asking here? I think the only person that reads this is my cousin in Austin, Texas. Hi, Moose!

It’s late…
