Peet’s in Emeryville

It really feels good to get a sketch done without any pencils, straight from the gut (mine is soft according to my nephew). When you do this, you notice that some things are just slightly off in terms of placement, but it makes no difference really. The information’s there and it’s close enough to life if things go well.

I sat in at this Peet’s for an hour and half and saw some interesting people buying their cups of coffee or tea or their bags of coffee beans to take home. One kid pushed a tiny stroller while wearing a cool striped hat like he was going to take charge of a steam locomotive. The set-up in this one was unique with a place to make custom cups of coffee, but I didn’t ask anyone exactly how it’s supposed to be done. There was also a separate counter space/island near the front where people could get just the beans; I’m not sure if they have to pay in that area, too.

Some people just dropped in, looking like they were off to enjoy a fun Saturday out in the city, in a ballpark, or up in the mountains. Wish I had plans like them.
