I don’t mean I’m finished with this canvas by any means. Just meant that this will be my post for the 29th. It’s starting to move along slowly, but my excuse is that I haven’t painted seriously for almost six years. I consciously want something where the brush strokes are visible and not blended smooth. The striped sweater is going to be a pain in the ass, and I need to make sure that I don’t overwork things. The last thing I want is to kill any of the elements that I liked from the underpainting.
