29? or 28b?

After the last post, I spent 15-20 minutes more on the canvas, and then left the house.

I think the likeness can be really convincing once I have more time to work on it, but it will have to wait until the natural light tomorrow morning.

I’d like to have this done by Saturday, so I can show my niece if she stops by on Free Comic Book Day. I’d also like to get some input from my friends and whoever wants to take a look at this and some other work I’ll bring to the store.

It’s going to be a busy weekend for sure with the signing, my niece’s show on Sunday, and Iron Man (you are such a dork, Ashley would say)! Too bad I’ll miss the figure drawing marathon at Merrit College. I really need to do that, but it looks like the next one isn’t until September. Argh. Didn’t they use to have more than four sessions a year? I need to find something closer anyway with these gas prices.

Anyone reading this blog going to a comic shop on Saturday?  C’mon.  I know someone’s looking now and again because the visitor count keeps going up.  Well, if you do get free comics, bring children because the comics industry still needs more young readers.  Just don’t show them Preacher or Stray Bullets just yet.

Hey man, with the color choices this looks like its going to be interesting. Sorry I can’t make it out to your signing. But I’m sure you won’t notice since you’ll be reveling in the affections of your groupies. I’m still going to try to see Iron Man this Thursday because I don’t when I’d be able to see it during the weekend. At least the new bootlegged Dark Knight trailer is keeping me company till then.

Hey Len, looking at this now, I didn’t color correct enough after shooting these pics in the kitchen under some fluorescent lights. The lastest uploads from today are shot with natural light, so they are more representative of the palette.

    Iron Man…maybe I can’t wait either…
