Still trying to get things right with these portraits. I added a new layer of paint on a canvas, but it took a turn for the worse. I’ll leave it alone and continue working on other stuff. This study was another attempt to capture what was lacking in all the other drawings and paintings of my niece. You might think it looks the same as all the previous stuff, but there are some improvements. Let’s just blame the lack of subtlety and values on my old scanner.
