Damn It.

I like Flickr, but part of me does not want to pay the fee after having it free for so long.  The whole idea of only showing the latest 200 photos for a free account doesn’t appeal to me either.

Due to changes in your AT&T Internet Service, your Flickr Pro account will expire on 1st February, 2009. That’s in 58 days! You can renew Flickr Pro for just $24.95 for a one-year account. And to thank you for staying with us, we’ll give you another two months at no cost.

The price is actually really reasonable, too.  I’ll even do the math for those that don’t want to.  It only comes to ~$2.08/month (for the standard rate per year) which is less than I spend on lattes or a whole lot of other items that I might buy on a whim.

I’ll decide when the time comes, but maybe I’ll be more selective and just host it on my domain.  There are a lot more important things going on than online storage options for my snapshots.

For example:

SACRAMENTO—Three people from Sacramento have been arrested in the murder of a 33-year-old Vallejo man whose body was found in the trunk of a car.
Rest of the story here.
