I just finished the first disc of The Sopranos Season 1 after dinner, and it kicked a lot of ass. Sometimes we need tv for a little entertainment or background noise. Then there are shows like this that raise the bar so high with it’s writing and cinematography, and yes, I know I’m only getting around to this show 10 years after it first aired, but I’ve never had HBO.
If one day, you find yourself thinking, “I don’t watch a lot of tv, and I have some spare time, and my dvd player hasn’t seen much use recently, and I’ve never seen The Sopranos,” then just watch it already. The trick will be spreading out the viewing over eight years like its lifespan on television.

Shows like the Sopranos make me want to reconsider giving my TV away. I’ve seen the first few seasons. I’d probably own the entire series if it weren’t 50 gazillion dollars.

I told my friend who was trying to quit chocolate to try the same remedy (she had to hang upside down). Spiders (or cockroaches or scorpions) do it every time.
And this is WITH morning caffeine…
I want to watch more of the series, but that’s all I’d get in my mailbox from Netflix for the next 10 years. I just checked the price of the complete series online and it actually is $50 gazillion…go figure!
