One of my neighbors (or someone in a nearby court) has a clock that makes a similar chime sound to the one at the English school that I worked at in Japan. Weird! The bell sound doesn’t last as long, and it bugs me that I don’t know exactly where it’s coming from.
Have you heard anything like it since you left, JD?

Sorry I’ve been such a slacker in keeping up with your blog. Fighting crime just takes so much of my time these days.
Anyway, wow! That chime takes me back. I haven’t heard anything like that since I’ve been back in the states though. I was thinking about googling Japan train station announcements, just to get a dose of nostalgia. I didn’t though. Maybe I’ll do that tonight.
