Not Deschanel’s Fault

I didn’t like The Go-Getter with Zooey Deschanel maybe because I’m just feeling grumpy and cynical, and any movie where the guy makes no effort to get the girl and does, well, it kind of pisses me off a little more than it should.  C’mon…  The guy steals her car at a carwash (he doesn’t know whose car he’s stealing) in Eugene, Oregon, and they end up in bed together in Ensenada, Mexico where she tells him that she had a crush on him when he used to walk into the restaurant she worked at?  I didn’t even mention the part where she shows up out of nowhere, trying to take her car back.  Was I supposed to warn about spoilers?  Oops.  Maybe I’ll write  more about why I didn’t like the movie, but for now, I can say that  Bill Duke’s cameo was a surprise.

Unrelated, why is my Pandora playing so much dancehall recently.  (clicks >>|).  “Summertime” by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince?  Not really in the mood for that either.  If I was on a sunny beach far away from the Bay Area with a woman worth a damn, then go right ahead, Pandora.  Bah humbug.
