Below is my Yelp review of Gyros Express in Sacramento, CA followed by a comment from an unhappy Abdul R.
Two Stars ** out of 5

It was just a bit better than that chain called Daphne’s–the Denny’s of Mediterranean food–but that assessment is based on one very affordable gyro. A little harsh? Well, if you can’t get the basics down, then you get two stars or less.
I will have to say that it’s close to my friend’s place, is open until 9:30pm, has hookah (which I’ve never tried), has boba (?? goes great with halal meat?), and has 4-year-old People and Entertainment Weekly magazines if you wonder what Britney Spears was doing…back then. In the end, it comes back to the forgettable gyro.
If I was a college student living on a budget and looking for a quiet place to eat and study, this place would be an option.

Boba and smoothies actually go great with halal food!If your more into the magazines than the food than I suggest you go to Borders across the street and read up on the latest happenings of what Britney Spears is doing right at this moment.
The gyros are getting complements left and right and those people are vocal only to individuals they know about their excellent experience at gyros express. People who tend to look for audiences are the ones who write vindictive reviews harshly criticising nice establishments like this. Simon Cowell effect?
But that’s not all readers! If you follow the link above (here for those that don’t want to scroll up), you’ll notice that “Abdul R. of Gyros Express” let loose with more hate for reviewers Karla F. and Ali L.
I’m not going to defend what I wrote other than reiterating that the gryo I had wasn’t that good. Period. I don’t care what other people say about the food at this place because I know what I like, and I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way about what you eat. Are people going to try and tell me what comic books and movies to watch now, too? Pffft.
I will say that business owners shouldn’t be so aggressive in defending themselves even if there people leaving “vindictive” reviews. You’d be better off saying that people are welcome to come back and give, in this case, the food another chance. At this point, the three of us who have angered this person at Gyros Express are probably going to avoid the place just in case there’s a big mound of phlegm hiding in the next sandwich or boba drink. I’m more than willing to give a business another chance as long as they are friendly enough to deserve the patronage. In this case, I’ll be eating somewhere else when I go to Sacramento.
ps: your is possessive. You were probably wanting to write you’re which is the contraction of you are, Abdul. See? No hard feelings.

Holy crap, that person attacked 3 of the 5 reviews? Wow, someone’s bitter and angry. I wonder why this person feels the need to defend? I’m tempted to leave a review but I’ve yet to try it.
