Thankful for a good weekend

First of all, Congratulations to the Dowells, and Welcome, Chloe!  I wish I could visit the happy couple and their new baby.

The rest of the weekend was full of good stuff.

JonsStreetEats pulled pork sandwich and mint cocoa nib ice cream.  Trip to Benicia Park for some exercise.  Invited over for pizza at a friends’ house.  Saw all my siblings and nieces and nephews.  Studied for school.  Cooked a squash and apple soup.  Second trip to Kabob House in Walnut Creek for chelo kabobs.  Friendly service and delicious food.  Walked around WC downtown for a little bit.  Invited over by different friends for grilled meats and catching up.

I did miss Bobbito/DJ Cucumber Slice’s appearance at the newly-opened Oakland venue, The New Parish.  There was also the opening of Filipino American Month at the Asian Art Museum.  That reminds me that the samurai exhibit ended last month, and we didn’t get to go.

I really can’t complain about life right now.  Thanks to all my family and friends who make the Bay Area home.  Now, if I can just find a cure for this insomnia.

You have better things to do, Father Jeremy (now people will think you’re a priest).
