No. I definitely like women, so stop thinking this is going to be some personal post about exploring sexuality. What am I curious about? A search engine, that’s what!
Most of us have seen ads or heard about Bing.com, so I decided to check it out for myself because I’ve decided, true to form, to put off reading for school for the 14th time today. Don’t tell my niece who would surely tease me about being a bad role model.
Visiting the site, I decided to search for “comic book news” and “Hong Kong sites [& dining].” The first is an obvious choice and the second has to do with an invitation from someone I’d really like to see in the next few months.
Well, I don’t know what to tell you. Bing works. It also has this feature where one can hover over a result, and a pop-up window to the right of the entry appears to give even more information that might entice you to visit that page. Not every page will have extra info, as I just discovered.
Will I use it more than Google? With a Gmail account and already limitless hours of time-wasting available in Google Reader, it isn’t very likely. Maybe if I’m searching for art (Moebius) or culinary (sous vide) topics in the near future, I might try it again.
“Tiffani Thiessen baby” is “Popular now?” People search for some really boring stuff while on the internet.

Crossing the line drawn in the sand between Google and Microsoft, I see?
Boring searches on the internet? Try this, type in “why wont” in the Google search bar, and tell me what the auto-suggestion says.
Can Bing do better?
Posted 11 Nov 2009 at 16:20 ¶That made me laugh out loud! Thank you, sir. Bing just had “why won’t he marry me” which is nowhere near as funny as what you suggested.
No, I won’t use the abbreviation for “laugh out loud” or say “el-oh-el.”

Oh yeah, because CACAtoos eat it.
