I got some good news from my new boss. We’ll be meeting in the kitchen December 1st to get everyone up to speed on our roles and to see what kind of food we’ll be cooking. It’ll be nice to finally meet the rest of the team. I can’t wait! If I have to skip my one class that day, I will.
In the interim, I’ll be doing some research for myself on what Caribbean and Creole food cooking is like, especially the cuisine of Barbados where Chef is from.
The edge of this knife doesn’t stay sharp as long as I’d like, but I can work around it for now. Maybe I’ll invest in some real sharpening stones instead of using the handheld sharpener that was included in the set I got.
