Tomorrow’s the big day: the first day of training in Oakland!
Left Chef a message asking when we’d all be meeting, but I haven’t received a call back yet. I’m not sure what to expect since this is my first day in a professional kitchen, but I hope it’s a busy day of going over the whole menu, eating, and chatting with the rest of the crew. I’m sure some of them were there that night of the party hosted by Common, but I only spoke to Chef briefly and wasn’t introduced to anyone. Will it just be the kitchen crew or also the front of the house staff showing up tomorrow? Will I be able to work fast enough?
Not sure if I’m going to go to Recipes class at 3:30pm to be honest because it kind of sucks, but maybe I want to see if he’s handing back the mid-term project. Hopefully, one of my classmates can pick it up for me and give it to me Wednesday morning if I don’t go.
Other than that, I guess it’s time for bed for a decent night’s sleep for this last night of November.
